How to prepare for your online session

Arrive early, ready to go

  • Tech issues reduce your session time

  • Download Zoom on a laptop and your mobile phone.

  • Log into Zoom 15 minutes prior to your appointment, and test Zoom works, without requiring updates

  • Please use headphones (not earbuds!) and test the audio and microphone so I can hear you

  • Make sure I can see your face clearly. Turn on a light if natural light might fade during the session

  • Test your internet connection and zoom settings 15 minutes prior to the session

  • Save my WhatsApp +447776442485 in your phone in case the internet goes down

  • Make sure your laptop and phone have a full battery and are plugged in

Turn off distractions and reduce noise

  • Ensure you are not disturbed, turn off incoming emails and messages

  • Have your phone on aeroplane mode

  • Close any windows to reduce outside noise.

  • Noise-cancelling earphones are a good idea

Hypnotherapy sessions

If you are scheduled for a hypnotherapy session, I will take you on an inner journey after the initial consult. This may include a guided muscle relaxing process or meditation. To help the inner journey I recommend you lie down on a bed or sofa. This signals to your body that you can rest and let go so you can tap into your subconscious with ease.

  • For hypnotherapy please position your device so I can see your face and torso from the waist up from the side, see image.

  • Use headphones (not earbuds) that are secure on your head so they don’t fall if you move.

  • Make sure the microphone has a clear sound so you can hear me and I can hear you.

Get comfortable and relax

Create a relaxing space for yourself before and after the session. I will start each session with a short conversation to discuss what you like to achieve. Do not judge, allow yourself to receive

Focus your mind and set your intention

Set your intention for what you want to achieve during the session. This primes your mind for the best outcome. Imagine you type a question into Google; the more specific you make your enquiry the better the answer.

Allow yourself to receive without expectations

Arrive with a curious, open mind and release any ideas of what may happen. People receive information in different ways. You may see, hear, know or feel a response after I ask you a question. Do not judge your experience, just allow the information to flow. Some people see images, cartoons, and colours in their mind’s eye, they may feel a sensation in their body or simply know an answer. Just allow whatever happens and tell me what you notice.

You will be conscious, not asleep

During a session, most people will have multiple conscious awareness like being in a cinema. You feel the chair, notice your neighbours and are focused on the movie. You will be conscious, not asleep. Throughout the session, I will ask you questions to help you receive further information, and I will prompt you to respond. Write down your insights after the session as this will integrate and deepen your awareness and anchor your learning.

Disconnected? No worries, we’ll continue

  • Most calls are uninterruptedly, but if the signal drops simply log on via the same meeting link again

  • As we reconnect you will remain relaxed and we simply continue

  • If the internet is down turn your phone on and call me on WhatsApp at +447776442485

  • In the extremely unlikely event that neither option works you will simply drift for a short while before returning to normal awareness. I will reschedule the session with you.
